  • You can either send an email to admin@betteryoucs.com or click here to complete our prospective client inquiry. Based off of your specific needs, you will be contacted and paired with either a therapist of your choosing or one that would be the best fit. Once an appointment has been scheduled, intake paperwork will be sent via email. It is strongly encouraged to complete the paperwork 24 hours prior to your initial session so the therapist can review it thoroughly.

  • That’s an excellent and valid question! BYCS is different in that all of our clinicians have worked in community mental health settings where there is a lot to learn from. Our counselors all come from diverse backgrounds that allow them to tailor their approaches to each client. Our office space boasts a calm and serene environment, complete with a variety of refreshments to help aid in self-care while doing the hard work!

  • Sessions are 50-55 minutes in length.

  • Yes, most of our therapists (unless otherwise stated on their bios) offer both in-person and virtual appointments.

    What type you choose depends on your preferences and lifestyle.

    • If you value convenience, flexibility, and comfort, virtual therapy might be a great fit.

    • If you prefer face-to-face connection and a more immersive experience, in-person sessions may feel more supportive.

    Please note that not all clinician works with the same age ranges.

  • Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours notice will incur a $150 fee. This also applies to no shows.

    *Please note that this does not apply to Medicare or Medicaid clients.

  • Everything you share in therapy stays private and confidential, unless there is imminent risk of harm to yourself, others, or reported abuse of a child or vulnerable adult.

    If you would like information about your treatment to be shared with another such as a loved one or professional, a Release of Information will be needed prior to doing so.

    Each client is asked to provide an emergency contact. They will only be contacted in case of an emergency.

    Please note that accepted insurances varies upon the clinician.

  • Accepting sliding scale fees or providing pro-bono services are based off of the discretion of each clinician.

  • Our address is 250 Mount Lebanon Blvd., Suite 309. When you see the building, go up the hill on the left of the building and take a right onto the back parking lot. You can get in through the double glass doors by the mailboxes. At this point, you can either take the elevator down to the third floor, or take the staircase behind the elevator one level down. Follow the directions to Suite 309.
